Cambodia - Siem Reap Night Market, Pub Street

After a day of temple hiking and river boating, time for sumptuous dinner hunting. Just outside our hotel, theres more than you can select to eat out. We are famish but yet wanted something authentic, so we stumble upon this eateries, Bun Tha Restaurant

We decided to call it a day, and go for a nice massage. Massage parlor is everywhere, but its not those sleazy atmosphere, we chose the nearest to our hotel and it cost only USD5 for 1 hour..Cheap?definitely!

Cambodia - Tonle Sup

After the tedious route of Angkor Wat, our guide told us to go back hotel to have some rest before heading to Tonle Sup, another highlight in Siem Reap, the Floating Village. The travelling time is around 20 to 30mins from our hotel,on the way, we saw many slump, was too sleepy along the way, hence, never take any pictures. We reached the jetty, and our guide bought the tickets for us. Each pax cost USD20

Finally, completed Tonle Sap. Its really amazing to see how the Cambodians live on the lake.It gets very cold at night with the strong breezes, and we can see that they are all wearing sweaters. imagine the coldness. We ask the guide how they get their drinking water, he told us there is quarter that is build by some organization, and the entrance fees and the boat ride is use to subsidize the drinking water distribution to the people living there.

Cambodia - Siem Reap Day 2

Woke up early morning for breakfast. our guide who is arriving at 8.30am will pick us for Angkor Wat Tour. The breakfast selection in the hotel is so delicious. Especially the local soup noodle.

Off we go to Angkor wat after our breakfast. Reach the entrance to purchase the ticket, we decide on only 1 day tour as suggested by the Guide,Sathorm. He say we will be washed out if we visit all the temple as they are look the same. He will bring us to the 3 main temple, thereafter will bring us to Tonle Sap  for the Lake Tour, to watch Sunset

Very sad that the whole place is tumbling down, really hope the authorities will try their best to restore the place and keep the tourist coming to support the economy and people.

Cambodia - Siem Reap Day 1

Much has been said about visiting another wonders of the world, finally, we get down on our feet and head for Cambodia Siam Reap! Many has said that the stones of the temple are falling apart, must visit the ancient heritage before it disappear.I was told and read with many stories about the place, poverty, the history of Cambodia etc..you really have to see it to feel it !

There goes our first day in Siem Reap. Experience was so far great, trying our Fish Spa which can remove dead skin, exploring the night market,discover many Korean restaurants in Siem Reap. People in Siem Reap is Great! Polite, great service and always smiling whenever they serve you. We have arrange for a 1 day tour in the infamous Angkor Wat tomorrow, gotta wake up early. See ya!
